The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry Flow Cytometry Facility is a multi-user facility at the University of Alberta offering state-of-the-art analytical flow cytometry, cell sorting, and data analysis. We currently have 9 instruments (3 FACSArias, FACSCanto II, 3 LSR-Fortessas, an Attune NxT, and an Amnis ImageStream mkII). We also have the capacity to analyze and sort both BSL1 and BSL2 samples.
Using the Flow Cytometry Facility
All interested investigators should contact Aja Rieger at firstname.lastname@example.org. First-time users of the benchtop analytical instruments need to book a training session through iLab.
The Facility also offers assistance to all investigators and graduate students in the development of protocols, experimental design, and data analysis.
Machine User Training
Training by other people other than the Core Staff is not permitted.
Training will be made available on a case by case basis for advanced users with at least 3 months flow cytometry experience. These users will also be required to attend and pass a training course and biosafety course.
